Introduction
Early in 1946, a group of Masons that had moved away from their home lodges began discussing organizing a lodge in Falls Church, VA. The three leaders in this movement were Charles R. Dale, Reverend Wallace E. Costner, and Reverend Columbus C. Wilson.
The first recorded meeting of the group was on Thursday, June 27, 1946, and was attended by Rev. C.C. Wilson, Rev. W. E. Costner, Messrs. Charles Dale, William Johnson, Frank Tinner, Harold Young, Fredrick Hinson, Zack Kenner, Colbert Hunter, James Johnson, George Hynson, and Charles D. Richardson.
OUR FRATERNITY IS AN ORGANIZATION OF MEN BOUND BY CHARITY, HOPE, AND FAITH.

BROTHERHOOD
Greetings from the Worshipful Master
First, giving honor to God from whom all blessing flow. I would like to thank the Brothers of King Tyre in electing me, again, as Worshipful Master for the 2024-2025 Masonic year.
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as King Tyre’s Worshipful Master for the next Masonic year. I thank all the brothers and especially the Past Masters who have always been the bedrock of this lodge. As we move into the next Masonic year, it will take a concerted effort from all of us to continue moving the lodge forward and making it the best in the district and state.
I am truly humbled by this important task that I have been assigned and have no doubt that with God as my guide and my brothers at my side, there is nothing that we can’t accomplish.

Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organizations. It teaches self-knowledge through participation in a progression of ceremonies. Freemasonry is a society of men of high moral character that are concerned with moral and spiritual values. Its members are taught its principles (moral lessons and self-knowledge) by a series of ritual dramas – a progression of allegorical degrees which are learned by heart and performed within each Lodge – which follow ancient forms, and use stonemasons’ customs and tools as allegorical guides. Freemasonry instills in its members a moral and ethical approach to life: its values are based on integrity, kindness, honesty and fairness. Members are urged to regard the interests of the family as paramount but, importantly, Freemasonry also teaches concern for people, care for the less fortunate and help for those in need.

Prince Hall
Father of Black Masonry
Many rumors of the birth of Prince Hall have arisen. Few records and papers have been found of him either in Barbados where it was rumored that he was born, but no record of birth, by church or state, has been found there, and none in Boston. All 11 countries of the day were searched and churches with baptismal records were examined without a find of the name of Prince Hall
